Urgent Update: Ocoee Outreach Status for the June/July

Dear Ocoee Outreach Mission Partners,

I have tried to reach out to most of you by phone with the following news yesterday and today.  It is with a heavy heart that I share the following Ocoee Outreach update with you.  After much prayer, discussion, input from some professional experts related to COVID-19 and more prayer, our board has voted to pause Ocoee Outreach for June and July.  Our first priority is the safety of our participants, homeowners and ministry partners.  The majority of the homeowners we serve through home repair are in the most vulnerable population group of those age 65 yrs. of age or older, people with disabilities, people with serious respiratory or cardiovascular conditions, and people with immunocompromised conditions.  With COVID-19 cases up in our region and in several other regions church mission teams are traveling from we could actually be doing more harm than good to the homeowners we are trying to help. This has been a very fluid situation for us and for you.

Our goal is to come back in the fall of 2020 and in the summer of 2021 stronger than ever.  We do have 2 full weeks in October that we are currently scheduled to do Ocoee Outreach very similar to our summer weeks. Also for churches desiring to do Ocoee Outreach over a long wknd. this fall, that is something we can look at customizing for you.  We will definitely have many pre-tornado & tornado home repair projects along with all the families/individuals that need to be exposed to the love of Christ and his saving grace to assign to mission teams.

Here are the two weeks in October that are starting to fill up (same plans as the summer weeks):

·        Oct. 4-10 (our Boys/Girls Clubs will be run this week just like they do in the summer and would love for us to send mission teams their way)

·        Oct. 11-17

Let me know if you would like to reschedule for the fall and if you would like for us to go ahead and put you on our calendar for the summer of 2021.

We know that God is still guiding this ministry and He is in control.  We are trusting in Him and we are also praying for you and for your church as you continue to seek ways to serve Him and to serve others in His name.

In His Service,

Randy Bonner
