Our Why.

About Southeast Tennessee.

The greater Cleveland, TN area is one of the richest per capita within the state of Tennessee. While located in a well off region, Cleveland is home to an area of poverty among the poorest in the NATION.

Cleveland is considered to be in the buckle of the Bible Belt. It’s home to 60 Southern Baptist Churches, the International Headquarters of the Church of God, the International Headquarters of the Church of God of Prophecy, and 90 other churches of other denominations. Yet in the midst of great church presence and regional prosperity, Cleveland is still an area with GREAT need both physically and spiritually. There is great lostness, even here.

As an organization, Ocoee Outreach is committed to bringing Access & Empowerment— Access to the Gospel of Jesus & Safe Housing and Empowerment of our volunteers to live the Gospel & our homeowners to take pride in their homes, restoring dignity.

The How.

Utilizing volunteer teams, we complete 3 main types of projects- painting/exterior work, roofing, and building wheelchair ramps.

A non-construction option for ministry would be to host a VBS/Day camp type event at a local Boys & Girls Club or apartment complex here in Cleveland.
